Important program information

Use the accordions below to see all the details for this program.

Thrive School Holiday Programs are open to primary school children aged 5–12 years.

Children do not need to attend the school where the program is based. We welcome enrolments from students at any school.

Each service offers a unique holiday program featuring a mix of in-house activities, special incursions and exciting excursions.

Program schedules are released approximately four weeks before each school holiday period. You can view your local service’s schedule on their webpage once available.

Please note that programs may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. Families will be notified as soon as possible if adjustments are required.

Daily fees vary depending on the type of activity scheduled (for example, in-service days, incursions or excursions). Eligible families may receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which will reduce the out-of-pocket cost.

Regular day – $107.04

Excursion/incursion – $120.10

New Families
If you are not currently enrolled with Thrive, please complete the enrolment form for your chosen service by clicking on the “New Family Enrolment” button. Once your enrolment is processed, please submit a booking form to the service and we will then be able to process your booking. Your booking will be confirmed via the Xap Smile App.

Currently Enrolled Families
If your child is already enrolled with the Thrive service, simply complete the School Holiday Program booking form and return to your service.

Bookings must be submitted using the official booking form, which includes the required consent information. Your service will confirm your booking through Xap.

Anyone collecting or dropping off a child must be listed as a nominee in your Xap App.

Each nominee must use their own sign-in credentials to sign children in and out. Please ensure nominees have their kiosk code, available in the Xap App.

Staff cannot sign children in or out on your behalf.
A $15 fee per child, per instance, may apply if children are not signed in or out correctly.

Please provide sufficient food for the entire day, including snacks. Thrive is unable to supply lunch or additional food unless specifically stated in the program.

We recommend:

  • Nutritious food options to keep children energised
  • A refillable drink bottle
  • An extra drink bottle during warmer months

If a child attends without food, families will receive a courtesy call.

On excursion days, children must arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to allow time for roll call and preparation.

Children should not bring money unless otherwise advised. Please ensure a packed lunch and cold drink are provided.

If your child requires medication while in care, please notify the service prior to attendance.

A Medication Record Form must be completed each day medication is administered. Medication must be in original packaging with a pharmacist’s label including:

  • Child’s name
  • Medication name
  • Dosage
  • Current date

Medication must be handed directly to a staff member for safe storage.

Children participating in outdoor water activities must wear a rash vest (preferred) or a top covering their shoulders. SPF 50+ sunscreen will be applied. Families may provide alternative sunscreen if preferred.

Due to national educator-to-child ratio requirements, children under 5 years of age cannot attend excursions to swimming pools.
